Astros Get
RHP Sonny Gray
Athletics Get
OF Kyle Tucker
INF Jonathan Arauz
RHP Franklin Perez

Why the Astros should do it: As I said in the previous slide, those championship flags fly forever. The A’s and Astros have been scouting each other all season long. It’s like that salesman trying to sell you a car. You haggle back and forth and eventually it’s time to seal the deal and get you on your way with that brand new ride.

It’s time for the Astros and A’s to seal the deal and get the Astros a brand new big time arm in their rotation as they make a World Series push. Dallas Keuchel, Gray, Lance McCullers Jr and Charlie Morton, when all healthy, could be just what the Astros need in their rotation to get them there.

Why the A’s should do it: Gray is a big chip for the A’s to play in their rebuilding process. In this deal, they get two of the Astros top six prospects in Tucker and Perez. Tucker can run and has power, something the A’s can use moving forward in their outfield.

Perez is a top 100 prospect as well and is an arm they can use moving forward with some of the other young arms they have in their system. Arauz is in low-A and is a middle infielder. If the bat plays up, because he’s a middle infielder and a good athlete, they can move his position if need be moving forward.
