With rumors surrounding a possible move for Gordon Hayward to the Boston Celtics, a war of emojis has been unleashed on Twitter.
Boston Celtics star point guard Isaiah Thomas couldn’t help himself when he saw Rudy Gobert’s emoji-filled pitch for Gordon Hayward to remain with the Utah Jazz. Thomas noted the amount of titles Boston has in comparison to Utah.

Rudy Gobert originally tweeted that the Miami Heat were garbage, the Boston Celtics were crap and the Utah Jazz were champions.
The outspoken Thomas had to set the record straight. He noted that the Heat had three titles, the Celtics have won an amazing 17 and the Jazz have won a grand total of zero.
Hayward is one of the most attractive free agents on the market. Any team would be lucky to have the ever-improving Butler grad. Last season, the Jazz star set a career high in points per game with 21.9 and rebounds per game with 5.4.
He led the Jazz to a fifth seed in a very competitive Western Conference before being knocked out early in the NBA Playoffs.
Although Hayward has spent the entirety of his career in Salt Lake City, his landing on the market couldn’t have come at a better time. He is set to make a ton of money. This Twitter sparring only proves that he is a very hot commodity.

It was reported early on Saturday that Thomas would be in attendance at Hayward’s meeting with the Celtics front office. Who better to pitch the idea of playing in Boston than the team’s best player? Obviously, Thomas is doing his best to try to convince Hayward that the Celtics are the team for him.
The Utah Jazz re-signed Joe Ingles during free agency, which could help them retain their marquee player, but a big market franchise like the Celtics could tear him away.
