Cincinnati Reds: Victor Robles

Surprisingly, the Reds have exactly what the Washington Nationals need — dominant bullpen arms. The Nationals have one of the worst bullpens in Major League Baseball, and are desperate to add a closer. They may also need one more solid reliever to make their bullpen functional.

Cincinnati was a surprising leader of the NL Central for a few weeks, but their run of winning is over for this year thanks to a starting rotation that is the worst in the league. The Reds had a historically-bad bullpen last year, but it is much better this year. Raisel Iglesias and Drew Storen have both been dominant.

Iglesias could be one of the big steals at the deadline if the Reds are willing to trade him. The right-hander is still four years away from free agency, but is older than the average player in his third year in the big leagues. That means less variability in his performance. Iglesias has a sub-2.00 ERA, solid FIP, and is striking out nearly 11 per nine.

Robles is the Nationals top prospect, and a top-five prospect around the entirety of Major League Baseball. He is only 20, but is already in his third professional season. Robles has a career batting average over .300 despite being nearly three years younger than his average competition. This is a special prospect who flashes elite potential in all five tools. The Nationals will be hard pressed to trade their top minor-league hitter, but may be tempted for one of the elite young closers and his four remaining years of control.
