Hopefully, everyone enjoyed their holiday weekends! The WNBA returns on Wednesday night with three games to get you back into the swing of things.

In this post, all salary and “fantasy points” references are to FanDuel scoring system and salaries. If you have any additional questions or thoughts or are looking for updates as we approach tipoff, follow @FanSidedFantasy on Twitter or you can follow my account @Den_Clausen.

Let’s get started!

High Salary Guards

Jasmine Thomas – Connecticut Sun ($6,800): Unless you’ve been living under a proverbial fantasy rock, you know that Jasmine Thomas is aggressively transforming into one of the best in the league. Connecticut head coach Curt Miller has indicated his pleasure with Thomas’ play as of late and she will continue to have plenty of chances to put up big time fantasy numbers. We have a few things working in Thomas’ favor on Wednesday. First, the Sun is playing San Antonio. Second, Thomas has hit at least four shots from behind the arc in five out of the last six games. At $6,800, she is a steal.

Diana Taurasi – Phoenix Mercury ($6,400): Speaking of shots from behind the arc, it doesn’t get any better than Diana Taurasi. The all-time WNBA scorer should see plenty of chances on Wednesday to add to her scoring record as Washington gives up almost a quarter of their points to shots from downtown. Get her in your lineup Wednesday night.

Tiffany Hayes – Atlanta Dream ($6,200): Stacking alert, I repeat, stacking alert. Dallas gives up the most points per game in the WNBA. Though Atlanta has been having their issues as of late with consistency, they haven’t been playing relatively deep either. The Dream have been running most of their starting unit into the ground and haven’t really looked to their bench for much production. As a result, we have an opportunity here for some ladies to see big minutes and accumulate some serious fantasy points. Tiffany Hayes is a nice pick this week but if you want to throw Layshia Clarendon ($5,400) and the recently resurgent Brittney Sykes ($4,900) into the mix as well, that wouldn’t be a bad way to go.
