Is Spider-Man: Homecoming in 3D? We let you know if Spider-Man: Homecoming is being shown in 3D and how you can get your tickets now.
Is Spider-Man: Homecoming in 3D? As Spidey fans get ready to head to movie theaters this weekend to see Tom Holland’s next outing as Marvel‘s most iconic superhero, they may be wondering if Homecoming is going to get the full 3D treatment.
The good news is that yes, Spider-Man: Homecoming is being shown in 3D. That makes it the second superhero movie to hit in three dimensions this summer, following the arrival of Wonder Woman last month.
Not only that, but the film will also be available in the IMAX 3D format as well. You can purchase advance tickets to IMAX 3D showings in select theaters now through the IMAX website.
It’s a no-brainer that Marvel would roll out the web-slinger in 3D, for both business and creative reasons. With DC having Wonder Woman and the upcoming Justice League set for 3D releases, it’d be a shame if Marvel didn’t have their biggest superhero flick of the summer on the same level.
And if there’s any superhero movie that benefits from adding an extra dimension in theatrical presentation, it’s this one. Spider-Man: Homecoming has a pair of high-flying characters in both Hollland’s Spidey and Michael Keaton’s Vulture, and has demonstrated in its trailers the bright colors and bold visuals that make for great 3D viewing.
The only question is will there be a moment where audiences get a Spidey web shot coming right at them?
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be available in both 3D and IMAX 3D this Friday, with select advance screenings on Thursday, July 6. Be sure to pick up your 3D tickets now so you’re one of the first to catch the action!
