Notable losses:Ā As noted, Tennessee football lost two of its biggest contributors from 2016, as Joshua Dobbs and Alvin Kamara left for greener pastures. They were selected in the 2017Ā NFL Draft, and will look to play on Sundays. Josh Malone is the other key loss at wide receiver, as he led the team in catches (50) and receiving yards (972). Who will take his place?
QB:Ā Quinten Dormady, Junior
Quinten Dormady is Dobbsā potential replacement. Heās a junior that sat and waited his turn for the past two years, only tallying just over 350 passing yards on 39 attempts. Dormady should step in as the starter and look to lead the Volunteers to a successful 2017 season. He may have to worry about redshirt freshman Jarrett Guaratano, however, if he struggles to open the year. Guaratano was a four-star recruit in 2016.
RB: John Kelly, Junior
WR: JauanĀ Jennings, Junior
JauanĀ Jennings will step in as the top receiver after Maloneās NFL departure. Jennings had 40 receptions for 580 yards in his sophomore year, showing red zone ability. This included seven touchdowns, which could increase for the 6-foot-3 target as he gets more reps.
WR: Tyler Boyd, Sophomore
WR: Marquez Callaway, Sophomore
After having limited playing time in 2016 as a freshman, Marquez Callaway could step in as one of the starting receivers. Callaway was a four-star recruit in 2016, so if the coaching staff likes what they see in him, then Tennessee may have its new starter at the third wideout spot.
TE: Ethan Wolf, Senior
LT: Drew Richmond, RS Sophmore
LG: Jack Jones, Junior
C: JashonĀ Robertson, Senior
RG: Venzel Boulware, RS Sophomore
RT: Chance Hall, Junior
