Day 4 at Wimbledon 2017 is in the books and the second round has concluded, so we take a look at the men’s results, including Roger Federer.

Wimbledon 2017 wore into Thursday for Day 4 action on the men’s side, with two of the favorites for the tournament in Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in action. Both men’s first-round opponents were forced to retire due to injury. However, they didn’t look like that affected them in any way in the second round.

Both Federer and Djokovic advanced to the third round with relative ease at Wimbledon, winning in straight sets on Thursday. While the two biggest names and highest seeds playing advanced, there were a couple of notable upsets on the day.

The big-serving American, John Isner, was upset on Thursday, losing in five sets to Dudi Sela. Meanwhile, the 29th-seeded Juan Martin del Potro put up and exceptionally disappointing performance, falling in straight sets to Ernests Gulbis on Day 4.

Both Federer and Djokovic didn’t miss a beat, despite having first-round matches that were retired early. They look in top form, which could mean bad news for the rest of the field. However, plenty more can happen, and we’ll see if that keeps up over the rest of these two weeks at Wimbledon.
