Day 1 of 2017 SEC Football Media Days will be on Monday, July 10 in Hoover, Alabama. Here is how to watch the media event online via live streaming.
It’s that time of the year where we start to turn out attention to major college football. That’s right, we are about to begin the wondrous four-day event known as SEC Football Media Days. SEC Media Days will begin on Monday, July 10 at 12:30 p.m. ET and will run through Thursday, July 13.
As usual, the four-day SEC media event will be held at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham – Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover, Alabama. All four days can be seen on television on the SEC Network. The available live streams can be found on WatchESPN and FuboTV.
On Monday, three teams will have their day with the media: the Arkansas Razorbacks, the LSU Tigers and the Tennessee Volunteers. Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema is a new father and has one of the best returning quarterbacks in the conference in senior Austin Allen.
This is a make or break year for Bielema and Arkansas football. Since leaving Wisconsin for Arkansas in 2013, the only other team in the SEC West to not win 10 games in a season is Kevin Sumlin’s Texas A&M Aggies.
This will be first time in a decade that Ed Orgeron gets to speak with the media at SEC Media Days. Orgeron replaced former LSU head coach Les Miles mid-season. He has not been a head coach since he led the Ole Miss Rebels nearly a decade ago. 2016 ended well for the Tigers, but Orgeron isn’t out of the frying pan just yet. He’ll need a big 2017 to prove he was the right man for the LSU gig.
Finally, Butch Jones will be making his fifth trip to SEC Media days as the Tennessee head coach. His team has yet to win the SEC East despite being the most talented team the last two years. Tennessee is in a bit of a rebuilding year, so 2017 is already off to a slow start for the Volunteers program.
