The round of 16 part of the Gentlemen’s Singles tournament at Wimbledon has been completed. Let’s see who advanced to the quarterfinals set on Wednesday.

Monday, July 10 was an exciting day at Wimbledon in the Gentlemen’s Singles tournament. Seven of the eight round of 16 matches were completed with the one between No. 2 Novak Djokovic and Adrian Mannarino being postponed.

The reason for that was an outstanding match between No. 4 Rafael Nadal and No. 16 Gilles Muller. It took five sets and some frustrations from the sun, but Muller upset Nadal to advance to the quarterfinals. The final set went 15-13 to Muller. He took the first two from Nadal before simply outlasting the 2017 French Open champion.

Other than that, things went pretty smoothly in the round of 16. Andy Murray advanced over Benoit Paire in three sets. Roger Federer would get past Grigor Dimitrov to reach the quarterfinals. American Sam Querrey would advance to the quarterfinals after beating South Africa’s Kevin Anderson in five sets.

Outside of Nadal going down in the round of 16, the only other upset saw No. 11 Tomas Berdych knock off No. 8 Dominic Thiem in five sets. It’s not really a massive upset since they were only separated by three seeds, but it is an upset nonetheless.

Here is how the men did at Wimbledon on Monday, July 10.

With Nadal bowing out, does this leave the door open for somebody outside of Murray, Djokovic or Federer to win it all on grass? How much of a chance does Querrey have to win at Wimbledon. Find out all that and more on Wednesday. We’ll still need to see Djokovic, but in due time.
