Here’s how to watch the second round of action from SEC Football Media Days on Tuesday morning in Hoover, Alabama.
The annual circus of SEC Football Media Days got underway on Monday, with plenty more to come this week from Hoover, Alabama.
One of the most anticipated events of the summer leading into the college football regular season, SEC Media Days spans four sessions with coaches and player representatives from every team in the nation’s most prestigious conference answering questions. National reporters and passionate fans will swarm the conference, which always features a number of memorable quotes.
Jim McElwain and the Florida Gators will kick off Tuesday’s action at around 10:05 a.m. Eastern from the Hyatt Regency Birmingham – Wynfrey Hotel. Senior defensive backs Duke Dawson and Marcell Harris are among Florida’s player representatives, although most questions could focus on Notre Dame transfer quarterback Malik Zaire.
Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs are up next, which could be one of the more insightful conferences of the week considering the huge expectations this season in Athens. Georgia’s session will also feature the terrific running back duo of Nick Chubb and Sony Michel, who help elevate the Bulldogs to preseason SEC East favorite status.
The Vanderbilt Commodores will follow, with fourth-year head coach Derek Mason fielding questions about how his program can take the next step after a solid 6-7 campaign in 2016. Mason’s defense looks steady, but the Commodores will need more out of junior quarterback Kyle Shurmur, who will be one of Vanderbilt’s three representatives.
Tuesday’s session will close out with Dan Mullen and the Mississippi State Bulldogs, who will look to improve upon a 6-7 campaign behind promising young quarterback Nick Fitzgerald. Potential first round offensive lineman Martinas Rankin and productive receiver Donald Gray will be Mississippi State’s most prominent player representatives on Tuesday afternoon.
