DraftKings fantasy golf picks: John Deere Classic 2017
$10,000+
Daniel Berger ($11,300)
Inconsistency doesn’t usually come in the extremes that Daniel Berger has brought as of late. Here’s a look at his last five finishes. Berger tied for 36th, then tied for 65th, then won, then was cut, and then came back and finished second at the Travelers. When he’s on, it’s no question that he’s one of the best in the world and that he’s one of the best in this field at the John Deere. But at this price, he’s too much of a who-knows-what-you’ll-get type of player for my liking.
Brian Harman ($10,900)
There’s no question that Brian Harman has been having one of the more successful 2017 seasons on the PGA Tour. He’s registered a win, six top-10 finishes and has only missed four cuts all season. Meanwhile, he’s registered four top-10 finishes in his last seven tournaments played. Yes, he’s also got a missed cut at the beginning of June and was merely average the last time that he played at the Travelers. With that said, perhaps the time off did him good and he can get back to form.
Kevin Kisner ($10,400)
Kevin Kisner’s last two outings haven’t been all that inspiring. He was cut last week at The Greenbrier and tied for 58th at the U.S. Open. However, he has five top-10s this season already and has five finishes of 11th or better in his last 10 tournaments. If you want to bank on his last two showings being outliers, he has high end potential with the damage he could do in a weak field at the John Deere Classic.
Danny Lee ($10,200)
Unfortunately, Danny Lee struggled with inconsistency early in 2017. However, he’s turned it on in a monster way since May. He’s made his last seven cuts and has been tearing it up the majority of the time. Lee tied for ninth last week at The Greenbrier, which was his fourth top-10 finish over this stretch. What’s more, he has three-straight finishes in the top 25. He’s one of the hottest golfers in the world and could tear it up in this weak field.
