After a disappointing end in the College Football Playoff, the Ohio State Buckeyes will look to rebound in 2017. How does the projected depth chart look?
The college football world might soon feel the wrath of Urban Meyer. After the Ohio State Buckeyes were embarrassed in the College Football Playoff, the head coach of the program is more determined than ever to bounce back from the tough loss to Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl.
While the Buckeyes lost a great deal of talent to the NFL Draft just as they do every year, Meyer had one of his strongest recruiting classes to date. He managed to stack his roster with a ridiculous amount of top-end talent and the Buckeyes should once again be competing for a National Championship.
J.T. Barrett looked shaky at times last year for Ohio State, but he’s the most experienced guy on the roster as a redshirt senior. He will be back under center for the Buckeyes once again this season and that gives Meyer a quarterback he has had plenty of experience with.
Defensively, they’re going to need new faces in the secondary to gel immediately. It was one of their strongest position groups on the roster last year and all that talent will now be in the NFL on Sundays.
Staying ahead of Michigan is the key for Meyer and this is a year where Ohio State could and should be in the discussion at the end of the season. With a ton of talent, here is how their roster shakes out on the projected depth chart.
