Lonzo Ball rocks James Harden’s shoes during Summer League (Video)

Lonzo Ball’s shoe selection throughout the Summer League has been a bit questionable, and he added to the madness by wearing James Harden’s shoes.

Lonzo Ball shocked the world in a big way on both Wednesday and Thursday night in the Summer League, and it wasn’t even for his incredible performance on the court.

Ball found himself as a major subject of conversation not for his play, but for his shoe selection. On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers point guard ditched his own Big Baller Brand Z02’s, and decided to pay a little tribute to Lakers legend Kobe Bryant by switching over to some all-purple Nike kicks.

Ball attributed the move to trying to channel the “Mamba mentality”, which apparently worked as he dropped 36 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds and 5 steals in the game.

On Thursday, he made people go nuts once more, as he completely switched brands once again. This time, Ball decided to don James Harden’s Adidas shoes, a straight black and white color-way rather than the flashy purple Kobe’s from the night before.

It wasn’t the first time Ball has been spotted rocking adidas in Lakers gear, as he put on some Adidas shoes for his pre-draft workout with the Lakers last month.

While it wasn’t his first time changing shoes, and not his first time in Adidas gear, it’s still surprising to see Ball drop the Z02’s so quickly in his first few weeks on the floor as a Laker. For all the flak he took for putting out a signature shoe before he was even drafted in the league, you think he’d at least stick with it and fight through the hate.

Hopefully next game we can catch Ball in some Under Armour Curry’s, or maybe he can even show some love to Sketchers and don some of those for a night.
