The Ladies’ Singles tournament field has been narrowed down to two players. Find out who will be playing for 2017 Wimbledon Championship on Saturday.

And then there were only two. The Ladies Singles tournament at Wimbledon has been all sorts of crazy at All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London these last two weeks. Upsets were abound throughout the tournament, including another one in the event’s semifinals.

No. 10 Venus Williams advanced over No. 6 Johanna Konta in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2. It’s been a very tumultuous couple of months for Williams and her family. She was involved in a fatal car accident in Los Angeles shortly before the start of the tournament. Her younger sister Serena is pregnant with her first child and will miss the last three Grand Slams of the year.

Williams has preserved and has had a strong 2017 tennis season for herself. She lost to her younger sister at the 2017 Australian Open at the start of the year and made a decent run at the French Open before falling. Now she stands on the precipice of winning her sixth Wimbledon title, her eight Grand Slam and her first since 2008. The United States will definitely be pulling for her.

Meeting Williams in the finals will be No. 14 Garbine Muguruza, who defeated unranked Magdalena Rybarikova in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1, Muguruza already has a 2016 French Open championship to her résumé. This will be her second trip to the Wimbledon finals in three years. She won’t be favored over Williams, but could definitely upset her in the finals.
