This is the last of the qualifying rounds for American Ninja Warrior this year. Who will get past the Denver course to keep their dream of Midoriyama alive?

American Ninja Warrior has finally reached the end of the qualifying rounds this year, or it will at the conclusion of tonight’s episode. The last stop is Denver, and it looks like we’re in for another rough course after last week’s Cleveland qualifier introduced the nasty combination of the Razor’s Edge and the I-Beam Gap.

Let’s talk about our known obstacles on the Denver course first. The Warped Wall will end things, as it always does; the Floating Steps will open things up for everyone.

We also know that one more obstacle will make a return. Yes, it’s time for the Ring Swing. Check it out in the below promo video. The 25-second mark has the clearest look at it:

Speaking of “known” quantities, the episode description also promises that Brian Arnold, Jake Murray, Meagan Martin, and Sam Sann will all compete.

But we’ve only covered three of the six obstacles. If you wind the video back to the 20-second mark, you can see what appears to be the Bouncing Spider — one of the new obstacles that the episode description includes. It looks like it’s a miniature version of the Jumping Spider, but instead of immediately dismounting to a platform, you hit a trampoline and have to grab a hanging log to actually dismount. (Presumably, that’s where the “bouncing” comes from.)

The description also names a “Ninjago Roll” as a new obstacle, but it doesn’t seem like it’s in the promo. Neither is the Rail Runner, but that one has made it into the photos. Here’s Meagan Martin giving this obstacle a shot:

It’s kind of tough to see here, but it seems like the idea is that you have to work your way down one rail by holding on to the bar, then maybe jump over to the second rail.

Here’s our top question: how do you move along the rails of the Rail Runner?
