The Cubs are coming. Chicago made the biggest splash of the trade season thus far by adding lefty Jose Quintana from the White Sox during the All-Star break. Quintana was brilliant in his first start with his new club, holding the Orioles to three hits while striking out 12 in seven innings to pick up the win Sunday, which finished the first road sweep of the season for the Cubs.
But the Brewers didn’t allow Chicago gain much ground in the standings. Milwaukee took the first two games of a three-game series against the Phillies. Ryan Braun led the way with a homer and four RBI over the weekend.
