Chelsea have confirmed today that they have come to terms on a new contract with manager Antonio Conte. The new deal is a two-year deal.
Chelsea and Antonio Conte have come to an agreement on a new two-year deal for the manager. The deal was announced on the club website this morning just before Conte takes Chelsea on a pre-season tour of China and Singapore.
Conte was very happy about the new deal saying,
"‘I am very happy to have signed a new contract with Chelsea. We worked extremely hard in our first year to achieve something amazing, which I am very proud of. Now we must work even harder to stay at the top.‘The Chelsea fans have given me so much support since I arrived here one year ago and it is important we continue to succeed together.’"

Conte wasn’t the only happy one, as club director Marina Granovskaia said,
"‘Antonio achieved incredible success last season, adapting to English football very quickly and leading us to the Premier League title.‘This new contract reflects our belief that he can continue to deliver results both domestically and as we return to European competition in the Champions League.’"
Aside from winning the Premier League title by a comfortable seven-point gap last season, Conte found a way to get the best out of players Chelsea supporters had previously given up hope on. The best example of this would be that of Victor Moses. Moses had a phenomenal season under Conte, starting in 29 of the Champions’ matches. Conte was also a big part of revitalizing superstar Eden Hazard, who had 16 goals, five assists, and was named Man of the Match on 13 separate occasions.

Along with bringing out the best in his players, Conte also introduced the back three to the Premier League. This formation has caught traction in the league now and is a huge reason why Chelsea were so staunch defensively.
