British Open 2017: Full TV schedule
Taking a look at the full TV schedule for the 2017 British Open from Royal Birkdale on the English coast and beginning on Thursday, July 20.
There’s no golf tournament quite like the British Open. Between the often windy conditions in the United Kingdom, the iconic style of courses featured across the pond and much more, it’s a singular event. And the 2017 British Open is ready to take center-stage in the golfing world from Royal Birkdale in England with the first round beginning on Thursday, July 20.
As you’d expect coming into the 2017 British Open, the top-ranked players in the world are indeed the favorites. Dustin Johnson and Rory McIlroy will have plenty of eyes on them, especially since neither player has been incredibly active as of late. However, other top-notch players such as Rickie Fowler, Jordan Spieth, Jason Day and even up-and-comer Jon Rahm will all be vying for the third major of the year.
Especially stateside, what’s always fascinating about The Open Championship is when it airs. Because of the time difference, the first tee times are in the dead of night in America. However, what’s better than waking up to a round of golf already in full swing? The answer is, of course, not much.
And no matter when you wake up, you’ll be able to catch the action from Royal Birkdale. Here’s a look at the full TV schedule for the 2017 British Open (all times are EST):

Overall, this should be a fascinating 2017 British Open. This is an exceptionally tough golf course that will claim many victims throughout the week. Given how abnormally low-scoring the U.S. Open was, however, The Open Championship should more than make up for it.
