The 146th playing of the British Open will begin on Thursday, July 20. Here are all the winners of the previous 145 Open Championships listed.

It’s the middle of July. That means that it is time for the British Open in the golf world. The PGA Tour will make its biggest trek overseas to the iconic Open Championship. This year will be the 146th playing of The Open Championship. It begins on Thursday, July 20 at Royal Birkdale Golf Course in Southport, England.

The event is usually one of the hardest majors on the year, as it features the high grass often associated with links course. Like the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship, the Open Championship does alternate courses, unlike the Masters Tournament down in Augusta, Georgia.

The first two majors of the year were exciting, as Sergio Garcia won the Green Jacket at the Masters and Brooks Koepka took home the U.S. Open Trophy at Erin Hills in Wisconsin. No. 1 golfer in the world Dustin Johnson again looks to be the favorite to win at Royal Birkdale.

Before any of this great golf action unfolds in Southport, let’s take a minute to see all 145 winners of the British Open in the event’s illustrious history. Here are all The Open Championship champions.
