Find out when and where to catch the return of Bob Lee Swagger on USA.

It’s fair to say that when Stephen Hunter released his novel Point of Impact in 1993 (which itself was loosely based on a real life Marine sniper), he probably didn’t expect it to have as much of a second life as it has. First came the 2007 film version of Shooter starring Mark Wahlberg, and that’s now been followed by two seasons of the USA TV series of the same name.

Ryan Phillippe stars as Bob Lee Swagger on television, and he’s back as one of the most reluctant heroes around starting tonight. While Shooter season 1 received a bit of a cold shoulder from critics, who enjoyed Phillippe’s work but disliked most everything else. it had remarkably stable ratings during its 10-episode run and even ticked up slightly from its premiere to its finale.

These days, that’s more than enough for any network to bring a show back for more. “The Hunting Party” sees Swagger pulled back into a web of intrigue once again as he looks to reconnect with an important part of his past.
