18. John Daly – Arkansas Razorbacks

Long John.

John Daly is one of the more recognizable sports figures of his generation, even if it isn’t always for the right reasons. One of the better golf talents we have seen in a long time, Daly let his vices get the best of him during his career, and never fully reached his potential as a golfer. Still, he has a few Majors under his belt, and lands on our list due to his love of the Arkansas Razorbacks.

Long before he was winning professional golf tournaments, Daly was born in Carmichael, California. However, his family moved to Dardanelle, Arkansas when he was only four years old, and has been a Razorback ever since. He attended the University of Arkansas, where he became a star for the school’s golf team, but he has always been a huge football fan.

The 51-year old Daly is just as big a part of the Arkansas family as anybody. Not only does he have a steakhouse in Arkansas, but when it came time for the school to get a new football coach, he was very vocal about the program bringing in Jon Gruden. When it comes to supporting the team with this clothing, Daly can often be spotted rocking a No. 69 Arkansas jersey around town.

Daly is one of the more interesting sports figures we have seen in a long time, and he brings the same kind of passion to his love of the Razorbacks. While he never reached his full potential as a golfer, he certainly reached his full potential as a fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks football program.
