7. Toby Keith – Oklahoma Sooners

Toby Keith has long been one of the more famous country music stars in America. Known for his incredibly patriotic tunes, it was a sad song he wrote about a close friend that cemented his spot on our list. While that friend was not a football player, he was an Oklahoma Sooners legend, and one that passed away way too soon.

Wayman Tisdale was an All-American during his time with the Sooners, and went on to play in the NBA. Unfortunately, Tisdale’s life was cut short due to cancer, and Keith immortalized him in the song, “Cryin’ for Me.” The 56-year-old Keith was born in Clinton, Oklahoma, and has forever stayed true to his hometown University.

Keith was no slouch when it came to football either. As a star defensive end for Moore (OK) High School, Keith was good enough that he actually went on to play semi-pro ball. His dream ended there, but his love for the game never wavered. With the Sooners, Keith is a fixture on the sidelines, and has also been seen attending practices during the season.

When it comes to being a celebrity fan, there are few that top Keith in that regard. While he certainly a Sooners fan no matter the sport, the love he has shown for the football program over the years cannot go unnoticed, and that is why he is our No. 7 celebrity fan.
