28. Trey Stone and Matt Parker – Colorado Buffaloes

South Park. The Book of Mormon.

The combination of Trey Stone and Matt Parker have produced some wildly-popular comedies in their lifetime. In fact, you cannot think of one without the other, and that is why they are both our No. 28 most-passionate fans of college football. The state of Colorado is very much alive in the show South Park, which actually takes place in the state.

Stone and Parker both attended the University of Colorado, as did their animator, Eric Stough. Aside from attending the University, Stough actually gave a commencement speech there, which showed the kind of pride the minds behind South Park have for the school. Both Stone and Parker are also big Denver Broncos fans, giving their fandom a huge Colorado feel.

In one instance where their fandom was on display was before a Buffaloes home game against the Arizona State Sun Devils. Colorado had never beaten the Sun Devils before, and had told fans to arrive ten minutes early to the game. They were greeted by Eric Cartman, one of the more beloved characters on South Park, hoping to rally the Buffaloes to victory.

Colorado lost that game, but the creators of South Park have to be excited in the direction the program is heading now. They had a breakout season in 2016, winning the Pac-12 South Division, and finishing as the No. 17 ranked team in the final AP Poll. If the Buffaloes have another successful season in 2017, you can fully expect Stone and Parker to be on the sidelines.
