Michael Vick regrets comments on Colin Kaepernick after coming under fire from fans.

Michael Vick and Colin Kaepernick are making headlines once again. What else is new?

Vick has now issued an apology to Kaepernick after comments made recently. Despite being very critical of the free agent’s hair and on-field play, Vick now claims his comments were taken out of context and meant to only help Kaepernick. Additionally, Vick took another shot at Kaepernick by saying he only has himself to blame for unemployment. Unsurprisingly, he recanted that statement too on the Dan Patrick Show on Thursday morning.

"“What I said, I should have never said. I think it was taken out of context in regards to what I was trying to convey, but I only want to help Colin Kaepernick. I’m not a general manager, I’m not the guy who makes the decisions on getting him signed, and I’m truly sorry for what I said. I think I should have used a better choice of words,” Vick said on the Dan Patrick Show"

Many fans, former players and media members have been critical of Kaepernick over the last season. However, Vick came under heavy fire for his comments. Consequently leading to his somewhat heartfelt apology. Either that, or Vick did a little research. Current players, including Chris Long, have come to Kaepernick’s defense when it came to comments about his afro. His on-field play wasn’t shabby last season either. Maybe someone enlightened Vick with his stats (2,200+ yards, 16 touchdowns, four interceptions).

Between the saga with Vick to his controversial national anthem protest and comments, Kaepernick has been at the forefront of nearly every NFL headline throughout the last calendar year. With the talent he possesses, there’s little doubt that he’ll end up on a roster at some point next season. If he has to change his rebellious ways to get a chance has yet to be known.
