The British Columbia Lions host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at B.C. Place on Friday, July 21. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Last year, B.C. hosted Winnipeg in the West semifinal 32-31 after Blue Bomber kicker Justin Medlock missed a potential game winning field goal.  The two teams met again in Vancouver for a Friday night game.

After losing their home opening to Edmonton, the B.C. Lions responded with three straight road wins. Despite losing starting quarterback Jonathan Jennings on the Lions’ first offensive play, the Lions rallied for a 41-26 win over Hamilton. Backup quarterback Travis Lulay threw for a CFL record 436 yards off the bench. Lulay was excellent, throwing three touchdowns and only seven incompletions. Nick Moore torched Hamilton’s secondary, recording 220 yards and a touchdown. The Lions offense often overshadows their defense, however this season the Lions have allowed only 87 points in their first four games.

After losing to Calgary, Winnipeg rebounded with a win over Toronto. However, the game was overshadowed by a controversy that prevented a Winnipeg woman $1 million contest. A questionable call brought back an Argonaut kickoff return touchdown. Quarterback Matt Nichols was mediocre against Toronto, completing only 55.6 percent of his pass for 228 yards. Winnipeg will need a better performance if they are going to beat a very tough Lions team.
