Last week, Calgary traveled to Montreal and were handed their first loss of the season. The Stampeders look to return to the win column at home against the Saskatchewan Roughriders, who are coming off of a bye week. Despite having a bye week to prepare, winning in Calgary will be an extremely difficult task for Saskatchewan. The Stampeders have not lost at home since Oct. 10, 2015, and have not lost back to back games since 2012.

The Stampeders have dealt with a lot of injuries early in the season to their defensive line and their backups have not produced. Jerome Messam was ejected against Montreal and will look for redemption against his former team. Saskatchewan traded Messam to Calgary in 2015 and won Most Outstanding Canadian in 2016 with the Stampeders.

Saskatchewan last played two weeks ago, beating win less Hamilton 37-20. Starting quarterback Kevin Glenn has performed well to start the season. Against Hamilton, receiver Naaman Roosevelt lined up in multiple positions to create mismatches. Roosevelt produced 10 catches and 167 yards and will again be the focus of Saskatchewan’s offense.
