The final golf major of the year is the PGA Championship, but when will it be taking place in 2017?
We’re nearing the end of the 2017 British Open on this Sunday here in July, as the final round has gotten underway with Jordan Spieth trying to come away with the major win. Speaking of majors, with the British Open coming to an end, everyone now is looking forward to the final major event of the calendar year, the PGA Championship.
The PGA Championship is the final major played during the year, and of course, it’s one of the more coveted trophies in the game. Well, we all won’t have to wait that long to take in this year’s edition of the event.
Following the conclusion of the British Open on Sunday, all eyes will turn to the PGA Championship, which will take place from August 10-13. So we are just a few weeks away from finding out who the 2017 PGA Championship winner will be.
Maybe the most interesting aspect of this year’s event is the venue. The 2017 PGA Championship will be played beginning on August 10 at Quail Hollow in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is a well-known golf course, but this will be the first major event that it has ever held. We look forward to all the major events as it is, but when it’s played at a course that has never held a major event, that makes things all the more interesting.
