More fuel was added to the fire in regards to a potential John Cena vs. Roman Reigns down the line.

Whether people want it or not — and there’s frankly no reason they shouldn’t — there will be a battle some time in the near future between John Cena and Roman Reigns. Two of the most polarizing stars in company history are going to go one-on-one eventually, presumably as the main event of a WrestleMania coming up.

With this matchup being inevitable, it’s fun whenever some fuel is added to the fire. Such was the case on Monday just before RAW hits the air, with this latest shot coming courtesy of Mr. Hustle, Loyalty and Respect himself.

Sunday night after the lackluster WWE Battleground show, Roman took to Twitter to sort of troll the SmackDown Live crew, letting the people in Philadelphia know that they’ll get a better show when he and the RAW crew roll in again. Well, Cena didn’t take too kindly to these remarks and he offered up this response for the man who many people see as his replacement as the company’s top guy.

Roman would promptly fire right back.

If this doesn’t get you all kinds of fired up to eventually see this match, then I don’t know what to tell you. You need a serious pulse check or something, because when this does happen down the road, it’s going to be such a sight to behold. Love them or hate them, they hold the fans in the palm of their hands, and it’ll be amazing to see them standing eye-to-eye with one another.

For now, though, we’re just going to have to enjoy this slow buildup on social media, before things heat up on the television screen when it’s time to put this program in motion.
