Jay-Z v. Beyoncé: Who commands higher ticket prices on tour?
When it comes to ticket prices, whose concerts cost more in music’s first family. Beyoncé or Jay-Z?
As Jay-Z continues to dominate the Billboard 200 Chart with his long-awaited comeback album topping the No. 1 spot, Vivid Seats did some digging to see how ticket prices for his upcoming tour rank in comparison to his last solo tour – Magna Carter – and maybe more interestingly, to Queen Bey’s World Formation Tour.
The hip-hop artist’s 4:44 album is one of his most personal compilations to date, referencing his high-profile marriage troubles and political commentaries. According to Vivid Seats, fans purchasing tickets to catch a show on the 4:44 tour are paying an average of $166, beating out the average ticket price on the Magna Carter tour by 28%, with tickets averaging $129. Yet despite all the hype surrounding the new album, it still isn’t enough to upstage Beyoncé, with fans paying an average ticket price of $207 to experience her Formation Tour.
And with so many fans clamoring to get a front row seat to see Jay-Z in action, Vivid Seats reveals the most expensive and most affordable places to see his 4:44 tour.
