Chris Petersen’s Washington Huskies made it into the College Football Playoff last year, so what does their projected depth chart look like for 2017?

If there was ever any doubting Washington Huskies head coach Chris Petersen, he undoubtedly put that to bed in the 2016 college football season. They rolled through the regular season with only one loss against a red-hot USC Trojans team. That was enough to earn a College Football Playoff berth. Though they couldn’t overtake them, they more than held their own against the vaunted Alabama Crimson Tide in the Peach Bowl.

As impressive as the 2016 campaign was for Petersen and Washington, 2017 may be more about proving himself as a coach than the year before. On both sides of the ball, the Huskies watched key contributors make their way into the NFL Draft. Four starters from last year were taken in the first two rounds, including three members of the secondary.

With those types of losses, Petersen will have to replace them, which will be no easy task. With that said, there is still plenty of fire- and star-power on this Washington team heading into the 2017 season. The Pac-12 overall should be formidable, without question. However, the Huskies again have the talent to compete to win their conference.

Given their success, the changes and now the expectations for this team, it’s a good time to assess the situation. With that, let’s take a look at Washington’s projected depth chart for the 2017 season.
