In an NBA offseason full of drama, we can thank Larry Nance Jr. and Ivica Zubac for providing us with some comedy relief.
This NBA offseason has been full of drama. Granted, we love that, but we do need a break from the constant “Kyrie Irving is gonna land here” story. For that break, we turn to the Los Angeles Lakers jumping jack Larry Nance Jr., who recently got into an epic troll battle with Ivica Zubac.
Zubac is Nance’s teammate and during a soccer match between longtime rivals Manchester City and Real Madrid, Zubac and Nance Jr. had some fun at each other’s expense.
You see, Nance is a Manchester City fan (for that match, anyway) and Zubac is a diehard Real Madrid fan. Nance struck first:
Was a Man City fan for the night rooting against @ivicazubac and Real Madrid... Per usual, my side won ⚽️

Zubac responded in kind, tweeting:
You are fan of a different team every other night 🤷🏻♂️ https://t.co/Lzttql9wdv
— Ivica Zubac (@ivicazubac) July 27, 2017
Just like that, the battle was on.
Nance would turn to Instagram for his next attack on Zubac and Real Madrid, posting a short video on his Instagram story showing him taunting Zuibac when Manchester City was pouring it on Real Madrid.
This is comedic gold. Friends don’t let friendship get in the way of a good joke.
Now, Laker fans shouldn’t get themselves worked up over this. Nance and Zubac are good friends, and it’s nice to troll your best buds every once and a while, especially in sports. As a diehard Florida Gators fan, it’s nice when I can troll my good friend, who is a Florida State Seminole fan when my team is smacking the Noles around (which, I admit, isn’t often).

What counts is that Nance Jr. and Zubac have the same chemistry on the court that they do in the friendship, because that’s what will really count next season, not the final score of a soccer match.
