If you thought seeing The Great Khali on WWE programming was weird and nonsensical, wait until you see this week’s post-Battleground edition of the FanSided WWE Power Rankings because those got weirder than weird, too.
Battleground was the host site of what was likely the worst pay-per-view of the calendar year for WWE. Botched finishes, silly finishes and the worst kind of match the company has to offer added up to a big ol’ ball of nothing for the SmackDown Live crew this past Sunday night.
See what happens when you take Renee Young’s show off the air, WWE?
But, the latter two days of WWE’s week were outstanding. Samoa Joe, Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman will all duke it out in SummerSlam’s main event for RAW. The blue brand didn’t really show their hand for The Biggest Party of the Summer just yet, but how does John Cena vs. Shinsuke Nakamura on next Tuesday’s show for the right to face Jinder Mahal at SummerSlam sound?
Yeah, I know what you’re thinking. “WWE is just making up for all of these pointless pay-per-views with cool stuff!”
First off, duh. Secondly, why are you complaining?
Oh, right. You’ve read this week’s post-Battleground rankings and don’t like where The Usos are on this list. Fair enough.
For the rest of you, here’s this week’s post-Battleground rankings, starting with the First-Ever Undisputed Champion. Yes, the Sexy Beast is back, baybay.
(Disclaimer: The wrestlers chosen for this power rankings list only appear on Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live, so that means no NXT/205Live specific stars are on this list.)
