Love Persona 5? Well, you may be interested in an anime TV series. It’s officially happening and it’s scheduled to release sometime in 2018.

Persona 5 may very well be the game of the year for many people. Throughout the years, we’ve played a number of incredible RPGs. However, we can confidently say this is one of the best we’ve ever played. The gameplay is a ton of fun, the combat is unique and versatile, the story is compelling and so are the characters. There’s plenty to love about this very enjoyable game. Some of the greatest features are the cinematic cut-scenes. This is probably a huge reason why an anime series is happening. Developer Atlus confirmed this on Twitter.

Most fans of the series might be familiar with these sort of adaptations. We’ve seen a movie series for Persona 3 and a TV series adaptation for Persona 4. There’s a possibility Persona 5 will also be a limited series like the others. A full season with a good amount of episodes is something we think the fans would enjoy, though.

Creating the series is A-1 Pictures, who has worked on other anime series such as Fairy Tail and Sword Art Online. In reality, the studio doesn’t have to do much to make something like this work. The source material is all there and it has plenty of room to work with. We expect A-1 to add a little of its own flair and originality though, which isn’t an issue.

If it’s anything like The Daybreakers, a 30-minute Persona 5 special, then it could be interesting. However, we don’t expect it to be as good as the game is. That’s extremely difficult to top at this point. We’re simply hoping for the best and that it will be an enjoyable watch.
