15 current college football head coaches who’d make great TV analysts
Bill Snyder has been around longer than any current college football coach, and that has to count for something, right? The Kansas State head coach is in his second go-around with the program. In fact, he was the head coach of the Wildcats from 1989-2005 and then retired.
Three years later, the program, which had even named the football stadium after him, approached him to take over yet again. He missed the 2006-08 seasons, but resumed coaching in 2009 and didn’t skip a beat with the program.
Kansas State went 6-6 without a bowl bid in his first season, but hasn’t missed the postseason since then. In two separate stints with the Wildcats, Snyder as compiled a 202-105 overall record and he’s second only to Nick Saban among current head coaches in active win total leaders.
While he’s been at Kansas State, on and off, since 1989, he’s also been coaching football since 1962. He was once a high school coach and worked his way up the ranks and is now considered one of the best college football coaches in the country.
I don’t know about you, but I just want to sit there and soak up his knowledge.
