P.J. Fleck
HC Minnesota Golden Gophers

Don’t know the name P.J. Fleck yet? Get ready to use it as a household name as the new Minnesota head coach has drawn some personality comparisons to Jim Harbaugh, although not as attention-grabbing as Michigan’s head man.

Fleck, just 36 years old, got the head coaching job at Western Michigan in 2013, but his dream was to coach in the Big Ten. After one season with the Broncos, they finished just 1-11 and it looked like his uphill battle was insurmountable. Could he turn Western Michigan into a MAC contender before his seat became too warm?

Three years later, Western Michigan finished the regular season and MAC title game with a 13-0 record and earned a trip to the Cotton Bowl, only to lose to Wisconsin by eight points. The game was one of the best of bowl season and the Broncos quickly became America’s favorite Group of Five team.

This past offseason, he got the opportunity of a lifetime, in his own eyes, as the job at Minnesota opened up and he jumped on the opportunity.

The fiery head coach is young and full of energy and would make a heck of a college football analyst.
