Stanford and Rice will kick off the season on Aug. 26 from Australia to begin a five-month period of nearly non-stop action. With every Saturday featuring a full slate plus games on just about every other day of the week now, remembering every major channel broadcasting college football can be difficult.

One major channel fans will no doubt need a refresher on is the Big Ten Network, which will broadcast as many as six games per week from one of the nation’s best conferences. For DirecTV customers, the Big Ten Network can be easily found on channel 610. Others looking for the network on Comcast or Time Warner can simply go to the BTN channel finder and enter their zip code and television service provider.
After sending a whopping four teams to the New Year’s Six a year ago, the Big Ten has an argument as the strongest conference in the nation entering 2017. Ohio State should be in the playoff discussion yet again, Penn State will look to build on its surprise conference title, and contenders like Michigan and Wisconsin are certainly capable of an undefeated run.
The 2017 Big Ten Network broadcast schedule will begin with the start of the P.J. Fleck era at Minnesota, as the Golden Gophers will take on Buffalo on Thursday, August 31 at 7:00 p.m. Eastern. Other highlights in the first three weeks of the season include Michigan State taking on Western Michigan sans-Fleck, Wisconsin hosting Lane Kiffin and Florida Atlantic, and Iowa taking on highly-touted quarterback Josh Allen and Wyoming.
