What channel is the Longhorn Network on DirecTV, Comcast, Time Warner?
A look at how to watch the Longhorn Network on DirecTV, Comcast, and Time Warner.
In 2011, the Longhorn Network was launched by the University of Texas and ESPN. It was made to cover all aspects of Texas Longhorns sports, giving fans an in-depth look at this program’s athletics.
The Longhorn Network will come in use for the upcoming college football season. This will see the Texas football program take the field for the 2017 season, which will be Tom Herman’s first. He took over as head coach after Charlie Strong’s firing in November 2016.
Herman’s first year at Texas will be closely watched by fans and college football critics, as he looks to turn the program around. It had three consecutive losing seasons despite the promising talent that came through Austin. This included Shane Buechele’s freshman season and D’Onta Foreman’s historic statistical campaign in 2016.
Texas will head into the 2017 season without Foreman but with Buechele, whose job isn’t fully guaranteed for the fall. Freshman Sam Ehlinger could supplant him before the year starts or if Buechele struggles.
This should all be covered on the Longhorn Network, as well as pre and post-game coverage for every time the Longhorns take the field. The same goes for the basketball and baseball teams, who won’t play until months down the line.
There are a handful of channels to watch the Longhorn Network on, so fans of Texas can get a closer look at their school. Information for the channels on DirecTV, Comcast, and Time Warner are provided in the links below:
