You definitely don’t want to miss the return of This Is Us this fall if you’re one of the millions who fell under its spell in season 1.
Generally speaking, it’s the fans of hits like This Is Us who curse the summer for taking too long before their favorite drama returns. In this case, though, there’s every reason to expect that NBC is just as anxious for season 2 to begin.
That’s because few network dramas in recent memory have had the impact that This Is Us had or the buzz it generated during the 2016-17 TV season. What first appeared to be a show that might go heavily overboard on sap proved that it hit all the right notes — and feels — under the guidance of creator Dan Fogelman and a stellar ensemble cast.
Naturally, NBC acted quickly to order more This Is Us, renewing it for an 18-episode second season back in January. The network briefly pondered switching the series to a new night, and even announced a new fall schedule with the show on Thursdays, but eventually changed its mind and stuck with it on Tuesday nights.
That’s where This Is Us season 2 will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 9 p.m. Here’s more to help you remember that premiere date:
