Patriots give Tom Brady’s mom Super Bowl ring
The New England Patriots gave Tom Brady’s mom a Super Bowl ring.
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady doesn’t like to dwell on his family life. While he’s darn proud of his wife Gisele Bundchen, he remains rather private about his parents. It’s mostly for their sake, as Brady’s mother has been battling cancer. However, the Patriots realize the importance of the woman who gave the franchise their best player ever.
To honor Mrs. Brady, Pats owner Robert Kraft gave her a Super Bowl ring. And Tom appreciates how generous his boss has been to his family.
He was always asking, ‘How’s mom doing? How is she feeling?’ We didn’t know up until the very end whether she was going to make it to the Super Bowl,” said Brady, via ESPN. “She was a big inspiration for me, and RKK knew it. It was a great surprise to all of us when the ring showed up. She deserves it.”
Whether you love the Patriots or hate them, this is an incredibly awesome gesture. Brady’s mother has been through a lot and her failing health has been a deep concern for Touchdown Tom. Kraft deeply respects his quarterback and his employees. Especially those who have won him five Super Bowls.
Next: Every NFL team's greatest moment of all-time
Next season, the Patriots plan on avoiding a Super Bowl hangover. They’ve improved a team that was already extremely good. And in getting Brandin Cooks for the New Orleans Saints, the Patriots’ legendary offense might be even more deadly in 2017. On paper, it’s hard to find a team with a more lethal offense capable of striking as quickly as them. With Brady at the helm and his strong mother giving him courage, the Patriots are in good hands. And with Kraft as the owner, the players are well taken care of.
