1. Demarai Gray, winger, Leicester

Sooner rather than later, somebody is going to have to give Demarai Gray a proper chance to showcase his obvious talents. The onus is on Leicester to feature the 21-year-old more often this season.

There are ample reasons why the Foxes should give more playing time to the former Birmingham prospect. He boasts terrific pace, devilish trickery and awesome shooting power.

Gray is a natural wing wizard who can tie defenders in knots from either flank. Leicester will need one of those if Riyad Mahrez gets his wish to leave the club this summer.

Algeria international Mahrez wants to leave and AS Roma have bid twice, per Sky Sports News. Arsenal could also consider a bid, according to Jeremy Wilson of the Daily Telegraph.

Mahrez leaving would surely give Gray his chance to emerge. The Foxes have already reassured Gray he will play more often this season, per Rob Tanner of the Leicester Mercury.

Gray didn’t feature much last season. He was also left on the bench too often for England during this summer’s U21 European Championship.

Yet this is a young player primed for much more.
