Bills signing Anquan Boldin to 1-year deal

Free agent wide receiver Anquan Boldin has finally found a home this offseason. He’s signed with the Bills on a one-year deal.
After a long awaited offseason for Anquan Boldin, he has finally found a home.
Peter Schrager is reporting that Boldin is signing a one-year deal with the Buffalo Bills. The deal is worth up to $4 million this season.
Boldin had reportedly agreed to terms with the Bills last week, but backed out. He’s now made a final decision and will be in Buffalo this season.
Boldin, 36, has proved that he can still play in the league. Just last season with the Lions he caught for 584 yards and eight touchdowns. After becoming a free agent after the season, he was coveted by a number of different teams.
Joining the Bills, Boldin enters a crowded wide receiver depth chart. Along with Sammy Watkins, the Bills added six different wide receivers this offseason through the way of free agency and the NFL draft. With none of these receivers over the age of 29, Boldin will serve as the mentor for the group.
The transition to the Bills offense shouldn’t be a huge concern for Boldin. He is very familiar with starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor. The two were teammates in Baltimore during the 2012 season.
You won’t see Boldin be the top producer this season, but he will be a more than serviceable wide receiver, especially in the red zone. The Bills were one of the best at that last season and are now even better. Boldin has extremely impressive body position and knows how to go up and grab the football. We’ve seen this work wonders for Joe Flacco and Matthew Stafford in the past.

We now have the pleasure of watching him for his 15th season. Hopefully it won’t be the last.
