Enzo Amore has delighted fans with his work on the mic. But behind the scenes, Enzo is getting heat for his antics and break of decorum.

Oftentimes, wrestlers will say their characters in the ring are their own personalities dialed up to 11. There is always a little bit of truth to what audiences see in the ring.

When kayfabe bleeds into the real world too much, that is when there can be problems. This is the problem Enzo Amore is facing today.

According to Sports Illustrated, confirming reports from other outlets, Enzo’s out-of-ring antics are causing some tension in the locker room and has put him on thinning ice to stay in the WWE.

Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated reports Amore has been guilty of bringing questionable characters into the locker room, who broke backstage protocol by taking photos of their experience behind the curtain. This followed a report from Wrestling Observer that Amore was kicked off the tour bus during WWE’s recent European tour and was forced to change outside the men’s locker room.

Amore also reportedly got into a Twitter fight with a Buffalo-area stripper.

Things are not going well for him at any level it would seem.

Adding more flames to the fire, JBL and Corey Graves discussed some of Amore’s locker room antics during last week’s episode of “Bring it to the Table.” That is a kayfabe debate show. WWE pre-approves the topics, and the talking points the panelists bring up. WWE approved the discussion of Amore’s antics.

Things in the ring have changed for Amore too. And that certainly may not bode well for his future either.

In the last few months, the WWE split him from his longtime tag team partner Big Cass. The two entered the WWE together after a successful run in NXT. Amore has cut some strong promos on his own and teamed up with Big Show (probably the most veteran wrestler in the RAW locker room now) to challenge Big Cass. It is unclear what direction Amore’s character goes after this feud ends.

But if Amore wants a push and to stay on WWE TV, he is going to have to make good in the locker room. The wrestling community is pretty tight knit. Any violations of the locker room code are handled internally. Getting blackballed in the locker room could kill any career.

Amore has a lot to answer for it seems. And he has to dial himself down to fit in.
