5. Leicester

The 2015-16 season was the greatest season in Leicester City’s history, without question. It still doesn’t seem real to me, someone who has no relation to the club or its history. After a tumultuous season mostly spent fighting relegation, the Foxes decided to go back to what worked in the first place. This season, they will do the same, only with their kits.

I’m going to start out with the away design first, as that’s the basis for that entire opening paragraph.

Last season saw Leicester wear an all red outfit as their away kits. The change back to a black base and gold outline suits my style much more. These rival my favorite of all of the black/gold kits in the Premier League right now, mainly to do with the shoulder design. There’s an extra piece though, that nobody else has: the sponsored logo.

King Power is their sponsor and stadium ground, and the clean logo makes the shirt pop. The king’s crown above the “I” is what makes it great. This might be the only sponsor’s logo that I approve of being on a kit.

Leicester’s home uniforms are also top notch.

The gold accents on the shoulders makes up for the fact that this kit also has buttons right below the collar. That’s generally a no-no for me. What really makes this home kit shine is the tiny pinstripes running vertically. It gives it that business-like form, while also being subtly stunning.
