With the 2017 college football season approaching, Sports Illustrated is treating fans to quite the innovative experience with this year’s preview
The month of August is already rolling on as the summer months come to a close, which only means that everyone is itching to make it to the college football season. Each year, one of the most comprehensive and informative previews that you will find come from the folks at Sports Illustrated. And this year’s edition of the preview is just about set to be released.
Once again, Sports Illustrated is sending out different regional covers across the country. This year, four of the best players in the country are represented as Oklahoma State QB Mason Rudolph, Alabama QB Jalen Hurts, Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett and USC QB — and Heisman frontrunner — Sam Darnold are all gracing a cover.
You can view the recently release covers of these incredible players below.
These four are more than deserving of this dubious honor from Sports Illustrated, and seeing these only ups the anticipation to see them all get back and the field to lead their respective teams.
While the covers are great once again, there’s a little something this season that makes them even better, believe it or not. This year’s Sports Illustrated college football preview issues come with an incredible AR (Augmented Reality) activation presented by Holiday Inn Express. By downloading the LIFE VR app on your mobile device, you’ll be able to point the camera at the covers, where from there you’ll be launched into an amazing interactive experience to get you even more ready for the upcoming college football season. The experience is not limited to just the covers, though, as there are chances to utilize it throughout the pages of the preview editions as well.
