The Carolina Panthers will host the Houston Texans in Week 1 of the 2017 NFL preseason on Wednesday night. Here is how to watch this preseason game online.

The 2017 NFL preseason is under way. Football season is back and it’s time to get excited for some NFL action. Wednesday night will feature the second preseason game of the young season. It will be between the Houston Texans and the Carolina Panthers.

Kickoff from Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte will be at 7:30 p.m. ET on August 9. The NFL Network will have the national telecast. This game’s available live streams can be found on NFL Game Pass and on FuboTV.

The contest between the Texans and Panthers is of great intrigue thanks to a pair of rookies that we’re all dying to see. For the Texans, it is all about future franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson. Houston traded up to No. 12 with the Cleveland Browns to take the national champion out of Clemson in the 2017 NFL Draft. Watson has marveled in camp and could win the job away from Tom Savage if all goes well in these four preseason games.

For the Panthers, it’s about pounding the rock. Carolina used its No. 8 pick in the 2017 NFL Draft on Stanford Cardinal running back Christian McCaffrey. He tore it up in the Pac-12 and finished as runner up to Derrick Henry for the 2015 Heisman Trophy. All Panthers offensive coordinator Mike Shula needs to do is put the ball in McCaffrey’s hands and see what happens.

Since these two high-profile players are rookies, we might see them play more than a series in Week 1 of the preseason on Wednesday night. Hopefully their play is a sign of good things to come for their promising NFL futures.
