The Chicago Bears will play host to the Denver Broncos in Week 1 of the NFL preseason, as both teams begin to round out their roster.

Last preseason, Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch battled it out to see who be the Denver Broncos starting quarterback in Week 1. This season, the same question needs to be answered, as both players take the field against the Chicago Bears on Thursday night. Siemian won the competition, and played very well last season, but new head coach, Vance Joseph still has not decided on a starter for 2017.

On the other side of the field, the Chicago Bears will be looking for good things out of their high-priced offseason acquisition, quarterback Mike Glennon. Expected to be the long-term answer in Chicago, Glennon was shocked when the team traded up to take North Carolina signal-caller Mitchell Trubisky No. 2 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. It appears Glennon will be a placeholder for Trubisky, who started only one season in Chapel Hill, but played well enough to be considered the best quarterback in the draft class.

This game has a bunch of storylines outside of the quarterback position, as the Bears are hoping to get a healthy Kevin White into the lineup this season. For the Broncos,  they need to solidify their running game, and see if former Kansas City Chiefs star, Jamaal Charles is finally healthy. Strong safety T.J. Ward has already been ruled out for the Broncos, who should have one of the best defenses in the NFL once again in 2017.

Here is how to watch the action online:

The quarterback situation for both teams is sure to be heavily scrutinized this offseason, though at least for the Bears, Glennon appears to be the answer at this time. For the second season in a row, Lynch and Siemian will battle it out, and sometimes, two quarterbacks means no quarterback at all. Week 1 of the preseason is a big one for plenty of guys on the cut list, as they look to make their NFL dreams come true.
