Eagles at Packers live stream: TV schedule, time and more

PHILADELPHIA, PA - JANUARY 1: Carson Wentz
PHILADELPHIA, PA - JANUARY 1: Carson Wentz

The Philadelphia Eagles will travel to Green Bay to take on the Packers in an NFC matchup during the first week of the NFL preseason slate.

In a rematch of the famous 4th and 26 game, the Philadelphia Eagles will travel to Green Bay to duke it out with the Packers on Thursday. Both teams are potential playoff contenders this season, with the Packers being an early favorite to make it to the Super Bowl. Thursday is the first true step in that journey, and there should be some good football being played inside Lambeau Field.

To get ready for the game, the Green Bay Packers created a hype video for their fans for this one. The Packers had an unbelievable run to the playoffs last season, when at 4-6, quarterback Aaron Rodgers pledged to win the rest of the team’s games. Well, he made good on that promise, and the Packers ended up beating the Detroit Lions for the NFC North title in the final week of the regular season.

The Philadelphia Eagles went with a rookie quarterback in 2016, and Carson Wentz proved to be every bit worth the No. 2 overall selection they spent on him. Wentz started all 16 games for the Eagles, and while he took his rookie lumps, he showed he can be a franchise quarterback in this league. The second-year signal caller will likely get some action in this one, though big free agent signing, wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, is going to be held out.

Here is how to watch the action online:

Though it is only preseason, anytime two teams that could possibly match up in the playoffs take on each other, it has some added meaning. While the starters are sure to sit more than they play on Thursday, there will certainly be a lot of position battles going on. Each week means more cuts, so you can guarantee players that do play will be battling it out for their NFL lives.
