Round 1 of the 2017 PGA Championship will start on Thursday, August 10 at 7:20 a.m. ET. Here’s how you can watch via live stream.
The 2017 PGA Championship is the farewell to the 2017 PGA season. It’s gone by very fast and the 2018 Masters, which kicks off the 2018 season, will be here before fans know it. But right now, all eyes are on the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. That is this year’s host, the first time the famous club has been the host for a major PGA event.
Who will complete their season on top? Right now, it’s hard to bet against Jordan Spieth. He has proven he can dominate at any given moment. And Spieth will have an extra bit of motivation to win the tournament. It’s the lone major he hasn’t won. With a win, Spieth will complete a career Grand Slam.
However, a number of competitors will try to get in his way. There are 13 past tournament champions in the field. Including two multiple time winners (Rory McIlroy and Vinjay Singh). This will be the 98th PGA Championship and the 101st year of existence. There was no tournament during the two World Wars.
All of the action starts at 7:20 a.m. ET. But at least it doesn’t start as early on the east coast as the British Open did!
