The Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills begin their 2017 preseasons at Orchard Park. Check here where you can watch these teams square off.

Depending on how much playing time each gets, you could get to see your fair share of talented running backs when Mike Zimmer’s team heads to Buffalo to face the Bills. It’s the preseason kickoff for both teams and each is looking to rebound from disappointing finishes.

In 2016, the Minnesota Vikings opened 5-0 but would proceed to lose eight of their final 11 games. The club’s 8-8 finish resulted in a third-place berth in the NFC North just one year after the Purple Gang won the division. The Bills lost their first two games, but were sitting at 4-2 after six contests. But by season’s end, they were a 7-9 club and out head coach Rex Ryan with one week to play.

Date: Thursday, Aug. 10
Time: 7:00 p.m. ET
Location: Orchard Park, NY
Venue: Ralph Wilson Stadium
TV Info: KMSP Fox 9 (Vikings), WTVH-5 (Bills)
Live Stream: NFL Game Pass, FuboTV

Last season, Zimmer’s team finished dead last in the NFL in rushing. To counter that, they signed free-agent Latavius Murray away from the Oakland Raiders. They also used a second-round pick on Florida State running back Dalvin Cook, who has drawn great reviews and is expected to get the start.

Meanwhile, the Bills have been the top running team in the league each of the last two years. They’ll once again feature LeSean McCoy, with second-year pro Jonathan Williams to compliment him. But keep an eye on rookie wide receiver Zay Jones, who has made an early impression.

The Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills have plenty of work to do these next few weeks when it comes to making up ground in their respective divisions. And it will be fun to see what second-round rookies like Cook and Jones bring to this first preseason tilt.
