Zach Randolph gets busted for weed in Los Angeles and the crowd turned on the cops.
Zach Randolph, the newly minted forward/center for the Sacramento Kings, was arrested in Los Angeles recently over marijuana, and the crowd in the area has was busted in wasn’t so happy about the presence of the LAPD.
According to TMZ Sports, Randolph was in SoCal recently at Nickerson Gardens. For those who don’t know where that is, it’s a public housing complex in the Watts area of L.A.
So what was Randolph doing in a public housing project? According to the Los Angeles Police Department affidavit, he was among a large crowd of people who had their music too loud, blocking the road, and smoking a large pot of pot.
At around 10 pm, the LAPD was summoned to Nickerson Gardens, and the cops reportedly saw three of the suspects “grabbing their waistbands and running.” After a small chase, three people wound up being arrested, with Randolph one of the three.

In fact, according to the LA County Sherriff’s Department Inmate Information page that TMZ Sports obtained, Randolph was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, which is still a felony in California.
Oh, wait, it gets worse.
Apparently, the residents of Nickerson Gardens have a strained relationship with the LAPD as after the arrest, a ruckus broke out, which involved six police cars having their tires slashed and windows busted in, and the LAPD forming a “riot line” to keep things in order. Thankfully, things finally did calm down in the housing project.
As for Randolph, he was given a $20,000 bond, and he may think twice about heading back into “The Gardens” again to smoke some Mary Jane.
Oh, what a night.
